Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest male tennis players of all-time. The native of Serbia has won 12 Grand Slam tournaments and trails only Pete Sampras, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer in all-time Grand Slam wins. Moreover, he is tied with Roy Emerson for the most Australian Open wins with six. However, he'll have to wait until 2019 for another opportunity at winning his seventh Australian Open as he was ousted from the 2018 event in the fourth round by Hyeon Chung. The 21-year-old South Korean native defeated Djokovic 7-6 (7-4), 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).

Roger Federer won the 2017 Australian Open after taking half a year off with back and knee injuries and Djokovic was attempting to follow suit. The 30-year-old star was also sidelined for six months and won his first three matches before dealing with elbow issues in the match against Chung.
